All your base belongs to Dillon Francis?
Earlier this month, Dillon Francis—who made his mark in moombahton but is a musical chameleon when he wants to be—took part in Party Favor’s Isolation live stream festival. Dillon took that time to DJ his first full drum & bass set, and judging by the tracklist (which we’re not sure needs to be touted as “deep”), Dillon’s been doing his homework. Dillon also looks like he enjoyed himself.
Dillon Francis’ set has made believers out of admitted non-fans, and seems to have been universally praised by his fans. as well as that group of folks who are into drum & bass and Dillon but not too deep into either. Others have called it “exactly what’s wrong with the whole #dnb2020 thing“. We also live in a world where tweets like this exist.
It would’ve been dope for one of these outlets who cover Dillon on the regular to ask him about why he was starting to drop full dnb sets out of nowhere. Was there a tune in particular that put Dillon on this vibe? Had he been working towards this for a while? Hopefully we’ll find out, some day.
For now, check out Dillon Francis’ full Isolation dnb set. Tracklist is below.
